We've put together a committee of thirteen people who are working on this. We had a first meeting and assigned some responsibilities. We're aiming for the last week of April.

The first meeting of the HAN Mixer Organizing Group will be this coming Saturday, March 17th, at 10am at the Starbucks at 949 Auahi Street (corner of Ward and Auahi, next to Wahoo's Fish Tacos) in the Ward Gateway Center. (Map: http://g.co/maps/huk6m) We'll grab a few tables outside. There's plenty of free parking.

We've got thirteen people who have expressed interest in helping with the organization of HAN Mixers. So we're off to a good start.

I have a suggestion for a location to have the mixer at. How about The Standard @ 500 Ala Moana Blvd? They host the Nextworking Professional Mixers there as well

HAN Mixers : Great Opportunities : But We Need Your Help Periodically the Actors Network has hosted Mixers. These are excellent opportunities to meet and mingle and network with other actors, producers, writers, filmmakers, talent agents, and acting coaches. Several of our members have actually gotten work through connections made at our Mixers. BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP. We're forming a committe to handle the work that's involved in setting up these Mixers. If you have suggestions for great locations, can help in contacting those places in order to schedule a Mixer, or can help out in hosting the Mixers or in any other way, then we want to hear from you. You don't have to "do it all", so if you can help out in any way, let us know. Mixers are an excellent way to meet and network with our fellow actors, talent agents, producers, directors and everyone else associated with the film industry. Let's see if we can make mixers a monthly, or an every-other-month event. We need some people to step forward and help out with organizing the Mixers. Let us know what places you think would be good for mixers. Some criteria would be: large enough to handle a crowd of 30 or more people, ample (ideally free) parking, easy accessibility both for those driving and those taking public transportation, un-noisy atmosphere so people can talk, cheap drinks and food :)
