It was awesome seeing Diddy and his music on Hawaii 5-0, It was the first time African Americans was in the spot light on Hawaii 5-0! Although they flew in some but a lot of local African American was able to work on Hawaii 5-0! Hawaii has many cultures and that's what give it it's Aloha. So hopefully it shows in the back ground or in front of the camera for the next season!" Diddy when are you coming home"

Am watching HOLDING FAST THE DREAM. My father was a football player for UCLA. In 1938 his team came to Hawaii to play against the U of H. The stadium was where the park is across the street from Longs Drug Store in Mo'ili'ili. Kim Wai, whose sons played on the UCLA team, threw a luau for the team and my mother was a hula dancer hired for the luau. That's where she met my dad. On the day his team was leaving, my mother came late to the Matson ship at Aloha Tower. My dad had leis from his shoulder up to his ears from various admirers. My mother took all those leis off of him and threw them into the sea. She placed her lei around his neck and said, "Promise me we'll meet again." My dad said he couldn't promise that because he didn't know if he'd ever come back to Hawaii. My mother said, "I won't leave this ship until you promise." The horn blew, the gang plank was pulled away, and my mother was still on the deck. My dad finally said, "Okay, I promise we'll meet again." My mother said, "That's all I wanted you to say." She kissed him, dove off the ship, and swam to shore. True story. That is how my African American roots met my Native Hawaiian roots, and I became the person I am today. :)
