Deliver an old photo album to a friend while on a trip to Berlin.  What could be more simple?  Frank Longo, man without a past soon finds out as events in the city of poet struggles and intrigue suck him into a maelstrom of danger and deceit where dodging the CIA, remnants of the KGB, and Lt. Hesseman of Berlins' CID are only part oof the problem.

He's caught between the designs of three femme fatales including Soviet beauty with a trove of atrocity canvasses from the Gulag, a media maven looking for a big story and the enigmatic Karin muller, a blonde beauty who's family secret figures as the center go the whirlpool.  A secret which could shake the very foundations of the fledgling New Germany.

When thing start get ugly Frank fins he has no choice but to face his past and enlist former players including the shadowy 'Brotherhood of Light'.  But before he has a grip on what's really going on his friend Dixie is abducted and he too becomes a pawn in a delay gambit which lead leads mall parties irrevocably to an explosive winner take all showdown at the very icon of the Cold War.
