HAWAII 5-0 SEASON 2 CASTING NOTES!

ALOHA!!

Just wanted to reach out to all of you on the Actors network with a little info about this season....It is with a heavy heart that we say farewell to the lovely DeAnna Andrews.  DeAnna has taken a great position in another field entirely, one that she is very passionate about and we are very proud of her!!  Lucky for us the incredible Katie Doyle was here to help us transition and will likely be back from time to time to help us cast this awesome show!!  However it is with great pleasure that we welcome Kona Carmack to our "Hawaii 5-0" casting team!!  Kona will be working with Johanna and Jacqueline casting Background performers.  Rest assured that these changes will not affect who and how we cast Extras!!  On another note, the episodes and story lines this season have been fantastic and we are all so thankful to be working on such an incredible production....and remember we are only as good as the people we put on the show each week, so a big thanks go out to ALL of you who tirelessly train for principal parts or are simply taking work off to be extras!! THANK YOU-THANK YOU- THANK YOU!

Aloha, welcome and thanks for allowing me to work on another episode of 5-0.  I know there is a "just saying thanks" section, but I also wanted to post a little reminder for those of us fortunate to work on this show...

 

After witnessing some questionable behavior by another the day I was also background I was prompted to post something here instead.  What happened is not important; I just wanted to remind all the other background/extra talents who work on the show that the 5-0 production crew and CBS are spending millions of dollars to give us this opportunity.  Please remember that they don’t have to.  And with the state of the economy, and the difficulty everyone has finding work, we should be thankful for the opportunity to work. We cannot afford to be divas here, in my opinion.  Just saying, THANKS!

HELLO~ I was contacted early into the taping of Hawaii 50. I was unable to appear for taping because it was also my first day of school at Heald College. I was very sad that, I had to turn my chance to be on Hawaii 50 being my first day of college life. I just wanted to say I am still very interested, if you were to call me I could be there. Thank you for the information Rachel. I'd just like to let you know that Johanna did a great job working with me to get me in during my off hours at my other job. It was amazing fun and a great honor to be part of Hawaii Five O.
