Anyone have any ideas how to submit a script?  Wrote one for original series; but through a series of malaprops it got passed over (story editors were being fired at the time, went through 5 while waiting for word).  Original cast who saw it all agreed it should've been filmed.  Have updated it for current Hawaii.  It was always ahead of its time, a little too 'racy'(?) for 5-0 back then, and way too much character development for back then.

Would appreciate any help.  Was invited to write for the Starsky & Hutch 4th season by the story editor, then they got cancelled! Story of my life.  Had an agent, then lost him due to death quite a few years ago.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the good info! Most I already know, but the bit about not sending a script of the show you're trying to impress was new to me. I was lucky back when... you could call the script editor on the phone and he would give you a release to send the story to him. Too bad he got canned before giving this one a chance. :-(

So another sidetrack. I've been agented... have good references, etc., i.e. know what I'm doing. How does one get an agent nowadays? I've been trying, with little success... often running into the agism factor now (bigger sigh).
Mahalo for any thoughts.

Aloha, Rita,

I am in the same boat. I just finished a spec script for the current show which focuses on local issues and am also trying to find an agent! I am trying to figure out how to get my script read by the creators... perhaps we can help each other out. I'll let you know if I find a bee-line to the right eyes.

Also, do you know of any agents here in the islands for screen and script writers?

Good luck!

William Gosline

is there a plot/story line?
