Looking for talented local actors to portray these characters:

Joe: Main Character.  Looks: Local, Mid 20’s or older.
Lia: Joe’s daughter.  Looks: Local, age 7 - 11
Kazu: Japanese man. Looks: Asian, Mid 20’s or older.
Kanoa: Joe’s son.  Looks: Local, age 8 - 14
Taiyo: Kazu’s son.  Looks: Asian, age 7 - 11
Background:  Fishermen/Fisherwomen. Boaters.
 
Story Synopsis: 
 
“Kae” is a comedy about Joe, a tough, local, super competitive guy who takes his two astranged kids out fishing for the first time.  As he attempts to build a relationship with them, he becomes distracted in a one-sided competition with Kazu, a skillfull Japanese fisherman who also seems to be a better father than Joe.  When the competition goes too far, Joe loses his kids.  In  his attempts to recover them he uncovers the truth that only by showing love will he gain the meaningful relationships he seeks.

Wednesday,     March 23, 2011        2pm - 5pm
