When I heard San Francisco fashion photographer Chad Hirata was in town, I asked him for a test shoot without missing a beat. A rare opportunity to work with a trained professional right in my back yard -- Chad's accolades include Ford Models, Wilhelmina Models, City Model Management, and Vidal Sassoon, coupled with formal training in Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Continue HFSCA Apprenticeship Grants Available

The Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts is accepting applications for its Apprenticeship Grants program. Requests for up to $5,000 may be submitted to fund apprenticeship teams - consisting of an accomplished and recognized folk or traditional teaching artist and an experienced apprentice. Applications must be postmarked by April 23, 2011 (Saturday).
